They say that actions speak louder than words...but what if that word is "action"?
I was a film buff. I knew evrerything about them. I was a film expert, watching movies like Citizen Kane and 8 1/2 (Fellini). I knew who Catherine Hepburn married, why Orson Welles hated Stanley Kudbrick, and who stole Jimmy Stewart's dog. I knew all the Chinese movies that influenced Tarantino, all the stuff that Scorsese loved. I knew everything about movies. I know what kind of film Chester Le Sui used in Le Pomme Pomme Fleur. I was a genius. I had been to Europe. I went to European film festivals, and watched the great artists of our time discuss important film ideas. Did you know that Francis Ford Coppola was inspired to write the Godfather after seeing a dying bird in the street? Did you know. Do you know anything?
I was creating a new film, one that would sshow people I was somebody. My idea? A film within a film. In the film, there I am, creating a film. But I'm also committing a heist, the biggest bank robbery in the world---the film is just a distraction. The only problem? I have a detective on my tail---and he's dating my wife. My story has everything---style, pastiche, and everything in between.
